The difference between integrated bent aluminum spacers and angled spliced aluminum spacers

The main differences between integrated bent aluminum spacers and angled spliced aluminum spacers are reflected in the following two aspects:

Appearance: The integrated bent aluminum spacers has a smooth arc shape at the bend, making the overall look smoother and more beautiful. The angled spliced aluminum spacers have obvious splicing marks at the interface. The lines are relatively hard and may not be as visually beautiful as the integrated bent aluminum spacers.

Sealing: The gusseted aluminum spacers are spliced and fixed with gussets at the four corners, and then sealed with sealant. The one-piece bent aluminum spacer is formed by one-time bending without interfaces and splicing, so in theory its sealing performance may be slightly better than that of the angled spliced aluminum spacer.

However, in practical applications, the sealing performance of insulating glass mainly depends on the primary sealant and the secondary sealant. The aluminum spacer actually plays a small role in determining the sealing performance, so its impact on sealing is not the main factor.

Generally speaking, if there are no special requirements for the sealing performance of insulating glass, there is basically no difference in function between the two aluminum spacers; but in terms of visual appearance, the integrated bent aluminum spacer has more advantages. The specific choice of aluminum spacer needs to be decided based on actual needs and budget.
