In the last article, we introduced the reasons why butyl sealant often does not stick to the aluminum frame when using a butyl sealant coating machine. Today we will introduce how to make the butyl sealant adhere tightly to the aluminum frame.

Ensure that the surface of the aluminum frame is properly treated: Before bonding, the surface of the aluminum frame needs to be carefully treated, including sanding, degreasing and cleaning steps to improve its adhesion to the butyl sealant.

Pay attention to the techniques for applying butyl sealant: When applying butyl sealant, make sure it is applied evenly to avoid bubbles. At the same time, ensure that the coating thickness is appropriate and not too thin or too thick.

Choose good quality butyl sealant: When purchasing butyl sealant, choose good quality products and make sure to use them within the validity period. Avoid using expired or unstable butyl sealant.

Control the bonding temperature: When bonding, make sure the ambient temperature is appropriate and reach the bonding temperature required for butyl sealant. If the temperature is too low, heating measures can be taken to improve the bonding effect.

Make sure the aluminum frame is flat: Handle the aluminum frame carefully to avoid deformation during processing and shipping. At the same time, check the flatness of the aluminum frame before bonding to ensure that the contact area with the butyl sealant is sufficient.
